I spent a beautiful day in August here in Thuya Gardens on Mount Desert Island. It may not be the flowers I zero in on in my plein aire paintings. It is the feeling of being in the garden I seem to want to capture. The quiet feeling that everything is fine! The feeling of wanting to explore. I sold this painting to a lovely couple newly married on their honeymoon in Maine!  What a nice feeling they chose my work for their special day.  I felt very honored.  Somedays I meet people like this couple that just makes me happy to be a painter!
